Cherlynn and I remembered Roxanna this week on her birthday. I am preparing to speak in church tomorrow, and her music always inspires me. I will use some of her words to help me address the topic of prayer. Grateful to have shared time and many wonderful memories with Roxanna in New York City. Best wishes to the Tom and Mary and all of the Glass family. We love you!

Dear Roxanna, born into a special family with a special work to do. We and her talented friends will never forget her God-given gifts for music. When leading, she led with such enthusiasm and when she wrote music, she wrote with tenderness honoring those who were special to her. Forever in our hearts!!

I am grateful that Roxanna was in my life. She was my escort when I received my endowments in the DC temple in1992. I was thinking about the blessings of the eternal marriage I have with my now deceased husband, Wilhelm and my thoughts turned to Rosanna and her wonderful example and the live she showed to me. I can hardly wait to see her again and thank her in person. Live you girl! Miss you.

There have been many times through the years that I have had pleasant memories of Roxanna. The mere thought of her brings joy and warmth to my soul. But today, in particular, I wanted to hear her music again and bask in the memory of her life and her passing. Although difficult, the experiences surrounding her memorial services remain some of the most remarkable and spiritual experiences of my life. I hope that one and all in the Glass family knows of our love for Rox, and that we think of you often as well.

Dear Glass Family: I was just thinking, yet again, of Roxanna. I had the privilege of serving as her bishop while she was here in Manhattan attending the Manhattan 3rd Ward. Her composition, "Paul's Admonition," was created in response to a personal request for an original piece for ward conference. It has been a favorite since the first time I heard it. I love it and listen to it often. Each time, I can see Roxanna's warm, infectious smile. Please know that you are remembered and deeply loved.

I knew Roxanna at Swarthmore and she was a wonderful, friendly person, full of life, who was always a pleasure to be around. I appreciated her wise perspective on the importance of motherhood. She was one of the few people I met who seemed to prioritize and understand it more than I did, and while I'm so sorry she didn't have a chance to experience it herself as a mother, she clearly touched so many lives in so many amazing and unique ways.

I have thought of Roxanna for 30 months straight. Every week (and sometimes every day , for a stretch), the memory of this young woman I never knew personally has illumined my thoughts. I first came to this website by accident, years ago. I knew little of the soul's depth of agony then, and what I wrote reflects that lack of experience. When I lost my eldest son, 18 year old Parker, to a tragic accident on July 21st 2007, I recalled beautiful Roxanna Glass in vivid detail. God bless her parents, family and friends. And praise to the plan that promises we will all embrace one day.

I went to high school with Roxanna. I remember her as a bright, friendly person. I always thought of myself as a "smart" person, but Roxanna was always a step ahead. If I earned a grade equal to her, I knew I'd done something good. Of course, she ALWAYS got the good grade by using intelligence and just plain hard work. Our town, Weston, is precisely in the center of Appalachia. There was no shortage of poverty and ignorance. Roxanna's family is to be credited for lifting her up and helping launch her toward an enlightened, artistic, beautiful world. I never spoke to Roxanna after school, although I kept track of her progress...at least generally. It seems such a waste that she was struck down so early. The best my home town had to offer - gone. If Roxanna were here to give her view of why her life was ended so quickly, she'd offer an "A+" explanation which would include insightful religious and philisophical logic. Again, she'd earn a grade higher than I.

Thank you so much for allowing this website to be created and maintained. The contents of this tribute have touched my heart. I found that Roxanna and I had much in common, first in our relative ages, and also in reading and playing piano at an early age taking positions of musical ability in LDS church; being academically blessed, etc.; and I have enjoyed perusing her work immensely. In fact, never having known Sister Glass personally, I was disappointed to know that such talent was taken from the earth when she passed away. Each of the pieces of music I have listened to so far has been unique and uplifting in its own way. It shall be said: "Even five years after her passing, one lucky Internet surfer happened upon some of the most beautiful music ever to behold." Such a legacy cannot be forgotten.

She also wrote music and poetry from a young age. Bonnie has a music scholarship and is now serving a mission in Pennsylvania where Roxanna went to school. I am sending some of Roxanna's music to her, also some of her poetry. I hope this is all right. Realizing how much I miss my daughter is but a dim reminder of what Roxanna's parents must feel. I feel honored to have shared something of her life here.

Roxie was a dear friend and a spectacular person. She lived each moment to the fullest. Her spirituality still serves as a role model to those of us who were lucky enough to know her. Words cannot begin to express the void left by her premature death.

Amazing. But then, so was she. We all miss her yet know that she is always near. This page is a wonderful tribute in her memory.

Tom and Mary. I think you have done a wonderful thing in creating a home page for Roxanna and making some of her music available. She was a lovely, talented person. I'm certain she would approve. Imogene

Dear Mary: You and your family have done a wonderful job with Roxanna's Home Page. I can just imagine her excitement in having such a great tribute! I'm sure that this project has been good for your family. I think of you often. Reading Roxanna's words and seeing the photographs has reminded me how truly "blessed" I am to have know her. Yours, Ned
